The city’s Health Department released a preliminary report April 18 on demographics of the World Trade Center victims. The report is based on 2,617 death certificates filed for the victims through January 25, including those on the planes. This represents more than 90 percent of the estimated total deaths.	One in three victims of the World Trade Center attack has now been identified. Early on, fingerprinting and dental records proved most valuable. Now, investigators are increasingly turning to advanced DNA methods.
