VACATION TO HEAVEN
Dear Webmaster of
www.september11victims.com;
About a month ago, I was reading the Courier-News (a Gannet newspaper from
Central New Jersey). In the editorial section was a poem. I did not write this
poem, but it is quite beautiful, and it brought tears to my eyes. I do not know,
personally, the woman who wrote it either. Anyway, this is the poem. It is
titled "Vacation to Heaven", and it was written by a woman named Ashley Wagner
of Dunellen, New Jersey.

"I'm so happy Daddy," she said,
"It's my first time in flight.
Look over there Daddy," she said,
"The runway is in sight.
Look Daddy now we're flying!
It's so pretty down there.
But why's everyone crying?
Who are these strange men everywhere?
That man over there's not moving, Daddy,
And there's blood on his shirt.
Daddy, what is going on?
Are we going to get hurt?
That strange man has a knife,
but Daddy what's he saying?
I can not understand his words,
and why is that woman praying?
Are we still going to Disneyland?
I don't like flying anymore.
Daddy, why are you crying?
Why are we hiding on the floor?
Daddy there's a building there,
we're going to hit the side.
I wouldn't have left for Disneyland,
if I knew we would have died.
Now it's very quiet Daddy.
There's no more people crying.
Everything's so peaceful here,
and no one else is dying.
I'm no longer in any pain
and I'm not filled with fear.
Even though we're not with Mommy,
I think we'll be happier here ."
