LIBERTY'S LIGHT

Liberty's light shines brightly still.
Even a year later, words like "ground zero and terrorist"
give my heart a chill.
Loss, grief, anger and pain have touched so many lives
during the course of this defining year.
Courage, honor, and American resolve have shown
we will not cave in to this "holy" war of fear
We are one nation that is indivisible,
from the highest mountain to the lowest valley.
September 11 is a war cry rally.
Across the land, candles burn bright.
Honoring the dead, so we don't lose sight!
