9 O'CLOCK
Hi my names Sarah. I'm 15 and I'm from England. Last year a few days after 9/11, I had an English lesson and I was asked to write a poem about something that affected my life, so I decided that I would write a poem about the terrorist attack. I would like to dedicate my poem to all the people who died and were affected by this awful act.
By Sarah Hancoc
New York at 8:45 September 11th
2001 the airport was bustling with people,
everybody wandering in their own little worlds,
Not one person looking properly at the murderers, the thieves and the terrorists
that lurked undetected.
They Board the Boeing 737,
Heading for the flight that changed the world.
Nobody knows what is happening,
Till its to late.
The cockpit is full with people...no, psychos
That are willing the pilot to crash.
People are panicking phoning
their families
telling them about the plane
taking about love...
then disappearing.
Never to be heard again.
The plane starts to head for the
tower at 9 o'clock
It Hits!
And people who are near feel like the whole world has shaken.
The glass starts to fly,
people start to scream,
Then a ball of fire shoots out into the streets.
The lives of the people in the
plane are ruined and silent.
Men and women dive out of the windows,
screaming as they try to survive...
then the second plane hits!
And again the world was changed
as it hit the second tower.
People start to panic and run for their lives.
in the streets down below,
Sirens start to scream as the hero's arrive.
The towers start to shake,
the people inside become frantic,
the towers collapse like Lego,
the cloud of dust chases people through the city.
Will this cloud ever end...?
And who will ever know the impact for the pilot or the passengers of the
Boeing 737.
I know not all of this is correct but when I wrote it I wasn't sure of all the facts.
